County Clerk Prepares for Busiest Wedding Day of the Year — Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year for the San Bernardino County Clerk. On average, 18 marriage ceremonies are performed per day by staff. On Valentine’s Day, that number quadruples.
“Valentine’s Day is a very popular day for County Clerk staff to perform marriages,” said San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk Bob Dutton. “This year, we are expecting a bigger turnout than usual since Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday. We are prepared to provide excellent customer service for the many couples that will walk through our doors to get married.”
Additional marriage rooms and staff will be available to handle the increase in marriage ceremonies on Valentine’s Day. Ceremonies will be conducted throughout the day on Friday, February 14th during regular business hours, by appointment only.
The fee for the Public Marriage License is $89 and a Confidential Marriage License is $90. The fee for a Marriage Ceremony is $65. To be better prepared for the big day, couples are advised to visit the Assessor-Recorder-Clerk’s website for marriage license requirements: https://bit.ly/sbcountymarriage
