VICTOR VALLEY, Calif. – (VVNG.com) – Due to listeria concerns, The Perfect Bite Co., in collaboration with RIZO-LÓPEZ FOODS, INC. and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has announced a major voluntary Class I Recall of their product, the Mexican Style Street Corn Bites 36ct, bearing the Item #1771747.
The recall comes after a routine safety check identified a risk that the Cotija Cheese used in the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a harmful bacterium that can cause serious infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
Affected products are those with a Best Before date of February 21, 2025. The implicated items were sold to many Costco members and add-on members over the period of September 6, 2023, through November 26, 2023, posing a potential health risk if consumed.
The Perfect Bite Co. is urging consumers who have purchased the specified product to refrain from consuming it and to return it to their local Costco warehouse for a full refund.
For additional information or to report any issues or concerns, Caleb Merritt, the Quality Assurance representative from The Perfect Bite Co., encourages customers to contact them directly at (818) 507-1527 between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday.
