Coroner ID’s pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on 15 freeway in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified a pedestrian struck and killed on the 15 freeway as Barbara Langlois, 63, of Victorville.

It happened on August 19, 2018, at about 3:25 am, dispatch received a report of a pedestrian standing in the center median of Interstate 15 northbound near Roy Rogers Drive, officials said.

As officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to the location, another 911 call reported a pedestrian lying in the roadway of I-15 near Palmdale Road.

“Officers arrived on scene and located the pedestrian within the roadway at which time she was pronounced deceased,” stated a CHP news release. “The pedestrian had been struck by an unknown vehicle, possibly pulling a utility trailer. Evidence located at the collision scene would indicate the vehicle and trailer would have sustained major damage.”

This collision is still under investigation by the Victorville CHP office. Anyone with information regarding this traffic collision or the Hit and Run suspect is urged to call the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Area office at (760) 241-1186.
