HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The San Bernardino County Coroner has confirmed the identity of a pedestrian who was struck and killed on Phelan Road as 35-year-old Francisco Delgado.
On Thursday, November 21, 2024, at approximately 11:05 PM, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Hesperia Station were dispatched to the scene of the incident, which occurred near the intersection of Phelan Road and Bellflower Street in Hesperia.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, a truck and a white van were observed pulled over to the shoulder, about 30 feet away from where the pedestrian was found in the lanes.
Emergency personnel arrived shortly after the accident, but unfortunately, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
