HESPERIA, Calif.(VVNG.com)– A 49-year-old convicted felon from Hesperia was arrested for firing at an inhabited dwelling, authorities said.
On Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at approximately 12:36 a.m., Deputies of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a report of shots heard in the area of Lemon Street and Peach Avenue. While deputies were en route, additional information was reported that shots were coming from a residence in the 18000 block of Lemon St.
Deputies arrived to find bullet holes in an exterior of a home. Contact was made with suspect Jerry Lamar Leigh, a convicted felon, who was found to be in possession of a firearm and ammunition. No one was harmed, and the only damage was to the exterior of a neighboring residence.
Suspect Leigh was arrested and booked at HDDC on charges of PC246-Shoting at an Inhabited Dwelling, PC29800(a)(1)- Felon in possession of a firearm and PC30305(a)(1)- Felon in possession of ammunition. Bail is set at $250,000.
