Commuter Alert: I-15 Roadside Safety Various Locations January 8 – January 11, 2024

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (VVNG.com) – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting the public that construction will be taking place on Interstate 15 from January 8 – January 11, 2024, that may impact

Weather permitting, contractors will perform night work at various locations in San Bernardino County. In the proximity of Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, and San Bernardino, extending from Baseline Avenue to 0.9 miles north of Route 138.

Nighttime work will occur Monday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Thursday work will end Friday morning at 5:00 a.m.

Work performed will include; improving highway worker safety by implementing vegetation control, rock blanket installation, stamped concrete in areas beyond the gore, and signpost sleeves, at various locations.

Closures will vary from 1 lane to 4 lanes during the night. Please note, various lane, connector and ramp closures will occur in the project zone. All work is dependent on the contractor receiving proper materials for each job function. It can be changed or canceled at any time.

THE FOLLOWING ARE ALTERNATING LANE CLOSURE LOCATIONS:

NORTH-BOUND Interstate 15

  • Glenn Helen Pkwy to Interstate 15 Full closure on-ramp and off-ramp.
  • Baseline Rd/East Ave. to SR 138 Full closure.

SOUTH-BOUND Interstate 15

  • Glenn Helen Pkwy to Interstate 15 (Devore)
  • Alternating Lane Reductions. Alternating Lane Closures.

SOUTH-BOUND Interstate 15

  • SR 138 to Baseline/East Ave. Alternating Lane Reductions. Alternating Lane Closures

EAST-BOUND

  • Glenn Helen Pkwy to Interstate 15 Full Closure.

WEST-BOUND

  • Glenn Helen Pkwy to Interstate 15 Full Closure.
