Cobalt Institute Of Math And Science Celebrates 10th Graduating Class In Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Cobalt Institute of Math and Science celebrated its 10th graduating class Monday night, awarding diplomas to 135 graduates during a ceremony at High Desert Church in Victorville.
The Class of 2026 marked a milestone for the STEM-focused school, which is in its 13th year of existence.
More than 98% of CIMS graduates completed A-G coursework, qualifying them for California State University or University of California acceptance. School officials said the number is up 4% from last year and represents a record for CIMS.
During her address to graduates, Principal Dr. Clarissa McNally reminded students to thank their friends and family, CIMS staff, and especially their parents.
“This victory belongs to the graduates,” Dr. McNally said, “but also to the parents and guardians.”
CIMS was created by the Victor Valley Union High School District in 2013 as a STEM-focused school of choice serving students in grades 7-12.
The school has earned several honors, including being named a California Distinguished School in 2021 and a Project Lead the Way Distinguished School multiple times.
Valedictorian Hailey Worby and Salutatorian Sofia Chavez were among the graduates recognized during the ceremony.
Congratulations to the CIMS Class of 2026.
