VICTORVILLE, Calif. (PRESS RELEASE) – The City of Victorville plans to redesign its website, and it would like the public’s help.
The community is invited to provide input for the website redesign via an online survey at www.victorvilleca.gov. The survey will be available through June 23.
Respondents will be asked questions about how they use the City’s current website and what services, information, and changes they’d like to see in the new site.
On May 16, the Victorville City Council approved a professional services agreement with Vision Technology Solutions for the website redesign.
“Our goal is to design a website that best serves our community,” said Victorville Mayor, Gloria Garcia. “I invite everyone to offer input through this survey so we can design a website that is user friendly and visually pleasing.”
In addition to the online survey, the City plans to employ heat-mapping technology to track the user’s mouse while on the website. This tracking data will help the City determine which information is most utilized and where this information should be located on the website so it’s easier to find.
The City will adopt Vision’s content management system in order to leverage new technology. For example, the new system will make it easier for users to utilize the website from a smart phone or other mobile device.
