UPDATE: CHP Releases New Details in Fatal Motorcycle Crash That Killed Bobby Brown

BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The California Highway Patrol has released new information regarding the motorcycle crash that claimed the life of 47-year-old Bobby Brown, a respected resident of the Victor Valley and American Legion District 25 Commander.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 1:11 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, on southbound Interstate 15, north of Outlet Center Drive, in unincorporated San Bernardino County.
The California Highway Patrol Barstow Area Office told VVNG that Brown was riding a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle when, for reasons still under investigation, he collided into the rear of a 2020 Freight-liner Flatbed Tow Truck being driven by a 39-year-old man from Las Vegas, Nevada.
“After the initial impact, the Harley Davidson veered to the right, towards the right shoulder, where the rider was fully ejected from the motorcycle,” the statement said. Brown was wearing a helmet and the appropriate safety gear at the time of the crash.
Emergency medical personnel responded and pronounced Brown deceased at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner was not injured.
CHP officials said alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be contributing factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Brown’s passing prompted an outpouring of grief from community members and the veteran service community.
He was remembered for his dedication to veterans and his leadership within the Great 25th District American Legion Family, Department of California.
