CHP Officials Say Vehicle-to-Vehicle Freeway Shooter is at Large

BARSTOW-(VVNG.com): A gunman is on the loose following a drive-by freeway shooting on the I-15 northbound just south of Lenwood Road on Saturday. On October 17th at about 7:18 p.m. CHP officials said that they received a the call regarding “highway violence”.
The male reporting party called 911 to report the incident when he arrived home shortly after the incident. The report indicated that he was traveling northbound on the 15 freeway approaching Lenwood Road when the mid-90’s silver Acura Legend with dark tinted windows and chrome rims swerved into his lane. The reporting party honked his horn to alert the driver of the Acura Integra.
The driver of the Acura, a black male adult with a shaved head and goatee, tried to get the reporting party to pull over and then pointed a handgun at him. The driver fired several shots, missed the vehicle and erratically drove away.
A California Highway Patrol (CHP) Unit from the Barstow area responded to the residence and put out a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the suspect vehicle. According to CHP officials the vehicle and suspect have not yet been located. The incident is still under investigation by the Barstow CHP.
