VICTORVILLE, Calif. — You probably don’t know it, but some of Santa’s helpers also volunteer at the California Highway Patrol’s Victorville station.

Senior Volunteer Don Amador (left) is the heart of the local CHiPs4Kids operation.

Don has been a volunteer for 19 years with the Victorville CHP and has been part of the CHiPs4Kids program since its inception.

Senior Volunteer T.R. Marino (right) has been a volunteer for 13 years with the Victorville CHP and has also been part of the CHiPs4Kids program since its inception.

Both are in charge of the toy counting, organizing, and distribution across the Victor Valley.

This year’s local CHiPs4Kids campaign has collected more than 5,000 toys for children.
