Child on Scooter Struck by Tesla, Airlifted to Hospital in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Emergency crews responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash involving a child Saturday afternoon in the city of Victorville.
The incident was reported at approximately 4:04 p.m. on March 29, 2025, near the intersection of Elliot Way and Caliente Road.
According to initial scanner traffic, a young boy was reportedly riding a scooter in the middle of the street when he was struck by a blue Tesla. The child suffered a head injury and was said to be bleeding from the head.
When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they located the scooter still lodged underneath the front of the Tesla. A large hole was visible in the vehicle’s windshield, indicating the severity of the impact.
Due to the nature of the child’s injuries, the Victorville Fire Department requested an airship. A landing zone was established at Mesa Linda Park, and the child was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
The driver of the Tesla remained at the scene and was cooperating with authorities. The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation.
