Apple Valley Sheriff’s conduct traffic safety checkpoint and arrest four.

On April 25, 2013, from 6 P.M. until 2 A.M., Apple Valley Police, citizen volunteers and explorers from Apple Valley conducted a safety checkpoint on Apple Valley Road. A total of 2800 vehicles passed through the checkpoint during the eight hour period.

Four arrests were made with three being made for driving under the influence. Six vehicles were towed for drivers having suspended drivers licenses, vehicles with expired vehicle registration, and drivers arrest for driving under the influence. Deputies cited 16 drivers for vehicle code violations including, suspended and expired drivers licenses.

The series of planned checkpoints is funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
