Celebrating over a century, Victorville woman turns 103

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – The family of Inez Holguin helped celebrate her 103rd birthday this Friday.

Holguin has lived in the Victor Valley for over 20 years.

Holguin’s granddaughter-in-law and caretaker, Jennifer Bergman-Holguin, told Victor Valley News they have all the reason to celebrate every year, “She is a wonderful lady with a big heart, and we would like to wish our grandma a happy birthday.”

“We will be taking her to lunch and dinner today,” stated Bergman-Holguin,

But the celebration doesn’t end there.

“We will have a big family gathering in March to celebrate her birthday with everyone,” Bergman-Holguin said.

Family members shared Inez’s advice on longevity, “If you asked her how she stays young, she will tell you she walked alot when she was young.”

Ice cream, cookies, and candy is her favorite food, and will undoubtedly be part of her birthday lunch and dinner today.

She has 2 children, Richard Holguin and Esther Martel, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 9 (soon to be 10 due in May) great-great-grandchildren.

On behalf of the Victor Valley News, we would like to say Happy Birthday Inez Holguin!
