VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- A carpet cleaning van was involved in a two-vehicle traffic collision with an SUV at the intersection of Dos Palmas and Amethyst Road. Sheriffs dispatch received the report of the collision just before 9:00 a.m., on Friday.
A male driver of the van belonging to Royalty Carpet Care & Restoration in Apple Valley required extrication from the vehicle. He was transported to Desert Valley Hospital with unknown injuries. The female of the white colored Land Rover did not appear to be injured. As a precaution she was also transported by ambulance.
Southbound traffic on Amethyst Road was detoured for about an hour at Palmdale Road to allow for a clean up. Public works were requested to assist due to a small fuel spill.
The exact cause of the accident is currently unknown.
