Car that struck CHP motorcycle officer on I-10 Freeway is registered out of Hesperia

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A car that struck a California Highway Patrol motor-officer on the 10 freeway is registered out of Hesperia, according to the CHP logs.
At about 4:40 pm, on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, a motorcycle officer was running a traffic break when he was struck by a female driver inside a silver 2017 Nissan Versa.
Cell phone video posted in Victor Valley News Group showed the officer down in the roadway with several Good Samaritans aiding the officer.
The incident prompted officials to completely shut down the westbound side of the freeway while they conducted the investigation. Traffic was diverted off the freeway at Mountain View Avenue.
According to the incident logs, the no.1 & no.2 lanes reopened at 6:09 pm.
The CHP officer had moderate injuries that were non life-threatening. He was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
