HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A woman said she sustained injuries to her back after her seat was broken during a rear-end traffic collision here Sunday.
San Bernardino County Firefighters and Deputies with the Hesperia Sheriff’s station responded to the intersection of Main Street and 11th Avenue for reports of a two-car collision at about 4:45 pm.
Upon arrival, they located a black Chevy Tahoe with front-end damage, and a blue 2019 Toyota 86 Sports Car with rear-end damage in the no.1 eastbound lane.
“I was the passenger and my husband was driving,” the occupant of the Toyota told Victor Valley News. “The impact was so hard that it broke my seat,” she stated. “I’m going to skip the ambulance and go straight to the hospital after the tow truck gets here.”
The adult male driver of the Tahoe said he was not injured. He said the vehicle in front of him made a sudden stop as soon as the light changed to yellow.
A portion of the intersection was closed for a brief period while authorities investigated and cleared the roadway.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station. Anyone with information is asked to call (760)947-1500.
