VICTORVILLE, Calif.(VVNG.com) – No injuries were reported after a car slammed into a Victorville home Monday evening.
It happened at around 6:30 p.m. in the 12900 block of La Mesa Road when the driver of a Kia lost control and crashed.
A male occupant was upstairs when the vehicle struck the home. “I felt the car hit the home as the second-floor room shook,” he said. He also described a ‘strong wind’ as the crash forced air up the staircase.
Based on witness statements, the female driver of the KIA was traveling westbound on La Mesa when for unknown reasons she lost control. The KIA smashed through thick trees and brush before crashing into the living room of the home. After striking the house the KIA spun around and into the side yard of the home.
The front grill and license plate of the KIA were visible in the middle of the living room floor. The TV was knocked off the wall and debris covered the living room.
The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries. No occupants of the home were injured as a result of the incident.
Building and safety were requested to respond and evaluate the structural integrity of the home.
