VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): Local community center providing life saving assistance by holding Bone Marrow Registry and Blood Donor Drive to assist in saving a local child’s life.

Rose O’Leary Community Center – Baldy Mesa Improvement Association at 9932 5th Street in Victorville’s Baldy Mesa Area is holding a Blood Drive and Bone Donor Registry Match screening to assist a 6 yr. old, Apple Valley child in urgent need of a Bone Marrow Donor Match. The transplant testing is free and virtually painless.
The event is being held at the Center on this Saturday, December 13th from 9:30 A.M until 2:00 PM. Later that same day, the Center is holding a Meet Santa event, where children can meet Santa and have their family photo taken for free between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM
The Center, established in 1955, is under new direction and transforming into a haven for local residents in need providing urgently needed assistance to help meet the gap between their low-income and their needs so local working residents can make ends meet.
The Center also offers free clothing, peer support meetings for those who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for military members and uniformed Emergency Services workers, CPR Classes, exercise classes and affordable, all-inclusive Weddings on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day as a fundraising event to supply the pantry with necessary equipment and supplies.
