UPDATE: On December 6th Deputy Dominguez located Craig Alan Jones at a store in the area of Bear Valley & Hesperia Rd. in Victorville. Jones was booked at High Desert Detention Center for Mail Theft, Probation Violation and a new charge of Possession of Dangerous Drugs. He is being held with no bail.

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities need the public’s help in tracking down a suspect wanted for theft of mail packages and probation violation, officials said.
Craig Alan Jones, 34, an Apple Valley transient, was captured on a Ring door-bell cam video casually riding his bicycle up to the front door of a residence and stealing the package near the front door.
According to Sergeant James Evans with the Apple Valley Police Department, Jones was identified after his image was captured by several local residential security cameras and went viral on social media.
On December 4, 2018, at about 11:40 pm, Deputies Greg Teplansky and Gerard Ciani served a search warrant in the 20000 block of Rimrock Road.
“They recovered stolen property and a bicycle used during the thefts, however, Jones was not there,” officials said.
Apple Valley Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Craig Alan Jones. Jones is a transient from the Apple Valley area and is currently on Probation.
