CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Caltrans District 8 is wasting no time in preparing for the storm predicted to bring snow to the cajon pass.
In a Tuesday morning tweet, Caltrans said maintenance crews would be preparing for the storm by spreading brine along the I-15.
According to the tweet, the work began on the SB-15 at Oak Hill Road and will end at the 215/15 interchange in Devore. Once the southbound side is complete work will start on the northbound side back up to Oak Hill Road.
The latest US National Weather Service forecast models are estimating 2 inches of snowfall in the cajon pass.

Satellite imagery shows rapid strengthening, or “#bombogenesis“, of the mid-latitude cyclone off the coast of the Pacific Northwest. This system will bring a variety of inclement weather to #NorCal today thru Thanksgiving! #CAwx pic.twitter.com/2TPVlIfCPz
