Cajon Pass: Wednesday commute slow for southbound 15 freeway

CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Motorists making their way ‘down the hill’ Wednesday morning should be prepared for some delays.

According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, a traffic collision/occupied disabled vehicle was reported at 4:58 am, on the southbound 15 freeway, near Cleghorn Road. This incident caused southbound traffic to back up for several miles. Additional details on this incident were not immediately available.

At about 6:53 am, motorist in the already slow traffic were shocked when they saw a fight near Oak Hill Road. According to the CHP logs, two men were physically fighting on the right shoulder near two dark-colored sedans. Sorry, we don’t know who won the testosterone match.

The stop and go traffic on the southbound traffic delays start around the Main Street bridge in Hesperia. Motorist are encouraged to allow themselves extra time to arrive to their destinations. There are no current incidents to report for the northbound side.

The good news, as of 7:30 am, no rain or fog is being reported in the cajon pass.
