Cajon Pass Traffic Alerts For the Week of November 29th – December 5th

CAJON PASS-(VVNG.com): The Cajon Pass project continues with day and night work for the northbound and southbound I-15 lanes. Crews will continue concrete removals and concrete paving throughout the week.
Caltrans officials said, southbound I-15 from Cleghorn Creek Bridge to Kenwood Avenue a 2-2 traffic lane split configuration will remain in place until December 9th. Nighttime work will begin as early as 6:00 p.m. and end by 9:00 a.m.
Commuters should expect northbound I-15 lane closures between Kenwood Avenue and Oak Hills Road from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 a.m until Friday, December 4th. No detour is necessary since other northbound lanes will remain open to traffic. The southbound I-15 will experience lane closures between Oak Hills Road and Kenwood Avenue. These lane closures will be from 8:00 p.m. through 4:00 a.m. and should continue until Friday, December 4th. No detours will be necessary as other southbound lanes will remain open to traffic.
Alternating ramp closures will be in place on the southbound 138 off and on ramps from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. through Friday, December 4th. For the off-ramp, Caltrans officials say that motorists should take the southbound I-15 to Cleghorn Road, turn left and merge onto northbound I-15 and exit highway 138. For the on-ramp motorists should continue on northbound I-15 and exit Oak Hills Road, turn left and merge onto southbound I-15.
Alternating ramp closures will also be in place on the northbound Hwy 138 off and on ramps. These will be in place from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. through Friday, December 4th. For the off-ramp, motorists should continue northbound on the I-15 and exit Oak Hills Road, turn left and merge onto southbound I-15 and exit highway 138. Motorists needing to use the on-ramp should take the southbound I-15 to Cleghorn Road, turn left and merge onto northbound I-15.
Southbound Cleghorn road on and off ramps will experience alternating lane closures from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. through Friday, December 4th. Motorists should use the southbound Kenwood Avenue on-ramp in Devore or use the southbound Kenwood Avenue off-ramp in Devore.
The northbound Oak Hill road off and on ramps will also experience closures from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. through Friday, December 4th. For the off-ramp, motorists should use the northbound Ranchero Road exit, go right to Ranchero Road, go right on Mariposa Road to Oak Hill Road. For the on-ramp, motorists should from Oak Hills go left on Mariposa, go left on Ranchero Road and left on the I-15 on ramp at Ranchero Road.
The southbound Oak Hill Road on ramp will experience closures from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. through Friday, December 4th. From Oak Hills motorists can go left on Mariposa, left on Ranchero Road and a left on the i-15 on ramp at Ranchero Road.
Caltrans reminds motorists that the 60 mile per hour speed limit will be strictly enforced and that no two consecutive ramps will be closed within the construction area.
