CAJON PASS-(VVNG.com): Construction crews will continue day and night-time work on both north and southbound lanes including shoulder reconstruction Caltrans official said. The following will be the closures from Sunday, January 10th until Saturday, January 16th.
Alternating lane closures will be between the northbound 1-15 between Kenwood Avenue and Oak Hill Road from Monday, January 11th until Friday, January 15th at night from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 a.m. CalTrans officials said that no detour will be necessary as other northbound lanes will be open to traffic.
The Southbound I-15 will have closures between Oak Hill Road and Kenwood Avenue from Monday, January, 11 through Friday, January 15th at night from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. No detours will be necessary since other southbound lanes will remain open.
Alternating ramp closures for Monday, January 11th through Friday, January 15th will be on the southbound Highway 138 off and on ramps and northbound highway 138 off and on ramps. The southbound ramps will be closed from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Detour for the southbound ramp closures will be to take the southbound 1-15 to Cleghorn Road, turn left and merge onto the northbound I-15 and exit Highway 138. For the on ramp drivers should continue on northbound I-15, exit Oak Hill Road, turn left and merge onto the southbound I-15.
Northbound ramps will be closed from 9:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. Detour for the northbound off ramp would be to continue on northbound I-15 and exit Oak Hill Road, turn left and merge onto southbound I-15 and exit Highway 138. For the on ramp drivers should take southbound I-15 to Cleghorn Road, turn left and merge onto the northbound I-15.
Drivers are reminded to allow extra travel time to account for freeway construction delays. The 60 mile per hour construction zone speed limit will be strictly enforced.
