CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Multiple traffic collisions on the northbound I-15 freeway are creating traffic delays for motorists making their way back home to the Victor Valley on Thursday.
On February 20, 2020, at 11:55 am, a white Chevy pickup truck overturned and went approximately 50 feet over the side of the mountain on the NB I-15, south of Cleghorn Road in the Cajon Pass.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, several Good Samaritans climbed down the hill to assist a female with a major head injury. The samaritans brought the woman up the side of the mountain and to the roadway. A male occupant exited the truck and appeared to be ok.
The logs reported there were additional vehicles involved in the crash. One of the vehicles was reported to be in the center divider and facing the wrong way.
At 2:03 pm a crash involving two semis that pulled over to the right shoulder of the #1 bypass lane approx. 2-miles from the 215 freeway, per the logs.
At 2:11 pm a separate traffic collision involving a white Dodge Charger and a tractor-trailer was reported on the NB I-15, just north of Kenwood Avenue. Both vehicles pulled to the right shoulder and no injuries were reported.
Motorists are reporting bumper to bumper traffic from about Sierra Avenue on the NB I-15 till at least Cleghorn.
