Burnt Human Remains Found in Vegetation Fire

On April 11, 2014, at about 1:38 am, deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to assist the California Department of Forestry (CDF) with a fire at the location.

CDF had responded to the location  near I-10 East of Corn Springs Road for a vegetation fire and while extinguishing the fire they discovered the burnt remains of an unknown-race male adult. 

Detectives from the Colorado River Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene. Detectives are handling this case as a suspicious death at this time. No arrests have been made in this case. This case is ongoing.

The victim has not been identified.
