Unidentified burned body found on a dry lake bed in Joshua Tree

JOSHUA TREE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The burned body of an unidentified male was discovered on a dry lake bed in Joshua Tree.
It happened on August 16, 2019, at about 8:49 am when a caller reported discovering a burned body in the dry lake bed near Sunway Road and Rosehedge Avenue.
Deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded and confirmed the information.
Based on evidence at the scene, detectives from the Sheriff’s Department Homicide Division responded and assumed the investigation.
Detectives are working to identify the male victim as well as any witnesses.
