Burglary Suspect Arrested in Hesperia

HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)- A burglary suspect is behind bars after breaking into a residence while the homeowner was home. On July 30, 2014 at 3:19 p.m., a citizen called 911 to report an unknown male had just walked in his back door and was inside his residence on the 9000 Block of Evergreen Avenue.

Hesperia deputies were dispatched as the homeowner stayed on the phone with the 911 operator. Although the homeowner told him to leave, the male, later identified as 26-year-old Eric Marquez, a resident of Hesperia began to look around the residence. Moments later Hesperia Deputy Brenden Keim arrived and detained the suspect.

Deputies discovered Marquez, a documented LA area gang member, was on CDC Parole for PC212.5, home invasion robbery.

Eric Marquez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for PC459, burglary and HS11377(a), possession of a controlled substance and is being held on $125,000 bail and a no bail hold for parole violation.

This is an ongoing effort by the Sheriff’s Department to protect the communities it serves.
