Bridge repairs causing delays for SB 15 freeway in Cajon Pass

CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Bridge repairs on an overpass along the I-15 freeway and Highway 138 are causing major delays Wednesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, Caltrans began the repairs on the northbound side of the 15 freeway at about 9:00 am, closing down the 1-2 lanes.
Those repairs were completed at about 10:30 am, and they crews moved over to the southbound side. CHP assisted with traffic breaks for the southbound side just before the brake check area.
As of 11:30 am, motorist making their way down the Cajon Pass are reporting bumper to bumper traffic that’s back up to Oak Hill Road.
After you pass Highway 138, all lanes reopen and traffic clears up.
CalTrans reports the bridge work should be completed by 2:00 pm.
