BREAKING: Winds Reignite Fire at Mojave Narrows

VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- A new fire has reignited in the same area of the existing Mojave Narrows Riverbed fire that authorities had previously contained. The fire was reported at approximately 6:30 P.M., on Saturday, April 4, 2015.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, three water dropping helicopters are helping fight the fire with air drop support. Fire crews are holding the fire at 12 acres. Winds gusts are reported to be between 15-20 MPH.

A containment line around the existing burn area is helping the fire from spreading. The rate of spread has been mitigated thanks to the quick efforts of firefighters. .

Per scanner traffic, law enforcement has set up road closures between Mandan Road and Riverside Drive in Apple Valley.
