BREAKING: Sheriff’s Deputy shot outside Lancaster police station

LANCASTER, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy was shot in the parking lot of the Lancaster station Wednesday.
At about 3:00 pm on August 21, 2019, a call for assistance was broadcasted for a deputy shot in the right shoulder outside the station at 501 West Lancaster Blvd.
According to scanner traffic, the deputy was in the station parking lot and the shots came from a 2nd or 4th floor of an apartment complex across the street.
A large containment area has been established. Deputies are checking the area including the apartment complex.
People in the area are being asked to stain in place in case the shooter starts shooting again.
