BREAKING: Homes Burning in Anaheim Hills due to Canyon Fire 2

Over 1,000 residents have been evacuated.

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif. ( Several homes in Anaheim Hills were lost to a wind-driven brush fire Monday afternoon.

The fire dubbed the Canyon Fire 2, was reported at about 10:00 a.m., and has scorched an estimated 500 acres and threatening many more million dollar homes in the Orange Park Acres area.

Officials have not confirmed the number of homes lost, however, Los Angeles media flying over the scene have broadcasted several homes on fire.

San Bernardino County Fire has dispatched a strike team of five engines and a lead for a total of 21 firefighters to assist with evacuations in Anaheim Hills, according to a tweet.

-The eastbound 91 freeway is closed at Weir Canyon Road.

-The 241 is closed between 91 and Santiago Canyon Road.

-The 261 is closed to the 241.

-The east and westbound 91 Fast Track lanes are also closed at the 55.

Horses can be evacuated to west end of Yorba Regional Park.
