BREAKING: Brush Fire Burning Near Big Bear

UPDATE @ 10:50 pm – The Delamar Fire has grown to 15 acres with a slow to moderate rate of spread, according to SB National Forest via Twitter. A total of 19 engines are assigned, 6 crews, and a night helicopter is on scene.
FAWNSKIN, CA:(VVNG.com)– Firefighters are battling a vegetation fire burning north of Big Bear.
The fire dubbed the Delamar Fire was reported at about 9:00 pm on Sunday, October 2nd.
Per SB National Forest, as of 9:54 pm the fire is 5 to 10 acres with a slow to moderate rate of spread – potential of 200 acres.
Additional resources including a night flying aircraft have been requested, per San Bernardino National Forest.
US Forest Service is now on scene and numerous county resources are assisting.
Information will be updated as it becomes available.
