Body of Unidentified Female Found Along 15 Freeway

PRIMM – (VVNG.com) – Commuters coming home from Vegas on Sunday were stuck in gridlock traffic near the Nevada/California Stateline area for many hours due to Homicide investigators conducting an investigation.

On Sunday, November 23, 2014 at approximately 6:15 a.m. a driver on the southbound I-15 freeway saw a body on the west dirt shoulder. The driver stopped and called 911.
Nevada Highway Patrol officers and Nevada AMR responded and pronounced the female deceased.
California Highway Patrol also responded and determined the deceased female was not the victim of a traffic collision. At approximately 6:45 a.m. a deputy from Baker Sheriff’s station was requested and responded to the scene. Based on the circumstances, the deputy requested assistance from the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail.
The female is unidentified and the cause of her death is unknown at this time. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
