UPDATE- Female Found in Big Bear Lake Identified as Lisa Cimbaluk

UPDATE – 1/9/15 @8:30 AM: The Coroner positively identified the female found in Big Bear Lake on Thursday, January 8, 2015 as Lisa Ann Cimbaluk. Examinations will be conducted in order to determine the cause of Cimbaluk’s death. The investigation in being conducted the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department – Big Bear Station.

BIG BEAR:( The recovery process is underway for a body found in the water in the South Shore area of Big Bear Lake. The body was discovered by authorities on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at approximately 10:00 a.m., while conducting an aerial search over the area.

Search and Rescue and department personnel responded to the area and confirmed it to be a body of a deceased female.

Authorities have been searching the area extensively for Lisa Cimbaluk from Irvine, who was reported missing by her family on December 29, 2014. Her snow-covered vehicle was discovered by police at the Woodland Trailhead in Fawnskin on January 4.

The Coroner will confirm the identification and determine the cause of death. Updates will be posted as new information becomes available.
