Blue Cut Fire 89% Contained; All Evacuations Lifted

OAK HILLS, Calif:(VVNG.com)- As of Monday, August 22nd the Blue Cut Fire is now 89% contained with the acreage burned holding at 37,020 acres, according to the San Bernardino National Forrest.

The Damage Assessment Team has confirmed that the fire destroyed 105 single family homes and 213 other minor structures.

On Sunday, August 21st officials announced evacuations orders for all communities affected by the Blue Cut Fire have been lifted.

Residents only will be allowed beyond the road closures.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and officials are asking for the publics help.

Anyone who may have been in or around the area of southbound Interstate 15 between Cleghorn and Kenwood Roads or along Old Cajon Boulevard through the same section on Tuesday, August 16th, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and believe they may have seen something suspicious is asked to share that information.
