Bicyclist airlifted after hit and run in Hesperia Christmas night

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A bicyclist was airlifted to a trauma center following a hit-and-run Tuesday night.
It happened on December 25, 2018, at about 6:30 pm, near the Applejack Liquor in the 14300
San Bernardino County Firefighters responded to the scene and located a male between the ages of 20-25 years down on the sidewalk with critical injuries.
Firefighters requested County Fire Helicopter H325 to airlift the male to an out of area trauma center with head injuries sustained after he was thrown from his bike approximately 25+ feet.
According to preliminary reports, the bicyclist was riding across Main Street when he was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Information on a possible suspect vehicle was not available at the time of this article.
