Bell Gardens Man on probation leads Hesperia officers on pursuit in stolen truck

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 36-year-old Bell Gardens man was arrested in Hesperia after a pursuit in a stolen truck, according to jail records.
The suspect, Robert Tarin Garibay, was arrested on January 11, 2020, after he led Hesperia deputies on a vehicle and foot pursuit.
At about 10:00 pm deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Silverado being driven by Garibay in the area of Main Street and E Avenue.
Sheriff’s officials said the truck was reported stolen out of Montebello. Garibay failed to stop the pickup truck and led deputies on a pursuit.
Hesperia Sheriff’s Station Spokeswoman Taylor Reynolds said Garibay eventually stopped the vehicle in the 8200 block of I Avenue and fled on foot. Garibay was taken into custody after the chase.
During the investigation, deputies discovered there was a motorcycle in the bed of the truck, which returned stolen out of Colton.
Garibay was booked at High Desert Detention Center associated charges and for violating his terms of probation out of Los Angeles County. He is being held without bail for violating PC3455(B)(1) Violation of Post Release Comunity Supervision.
