Bear Valley Smoke Shop in Hesperia robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Bear Valley Smoke Shop in Hesperia was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.
It happened on July 30, 2019, at about 11:22 pm in the 14800 block of Bear Valley Road.
Deputies responded to the location regarding a robbery and learned that a male subject entered the location, walked towards the register, and pulled out a black handgun.
“The suspect pointed the handgun at the employee; the employee opened the register and the suspect reached over and took approximately $600,” stated spokesman Edgar Moran.
Moran said the suspect left the shop towards the alleyway.
An extensive area search was conducted for the suspect with negative results.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult wearing a blue Adidas jacket and gray pants. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station at 760-947-1500.
