APPLE VALLEY: (VVNG) – Engineering sample work on the bridge over the Mojave River has been rescheduled to occur Wednesday, May 21. Travelers on Bear Valley Road are urged to use extra caution crossing the bridge while the work is being performed.
Beginning at 9 a.m., the outside lanes for both eastbound and westbound traffic will be closed as engineers take core samples of the bridge surface in preparation for the upcoming bridge retrofit study.
Two lanes will remain open in both directions at all times during the work. All lanes will be reopened by 4 p.m. that day.
