APPLE VALLEY: (VVNG) – Travelers on Bear Valley Road are urged to use caution on Wednesday, May 14, while driving over the bridge that crosses the Mojave River.
Beginning at 9 a.m., the outside lanes for both eastbound and westbound traffic will be closed as engineers take core samples of the bridge surface in preparation for the upcoming bridge retrofit study.
Two lanes will remain open in both directions at all times during the work. All lanes will be reopened by 4 p.m. that day.
