Barstow woman crashes into parked car; arrested for DUI

BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A 31-year-old Barstow woman is behind bars after she caused a crash while driving under the influence, officials said.
It happened New Years Day at about 11:06 pm, in the 400 block of South Second Avenue in Barstow. Police responded to the residence following the report of an intoxicated woman who caused a disturbance and drove away in her 2007 Nissan Altima.
Officers responded and located the Maxima involved in a traffic collision in the 600 block of East Buena Vista Street. Officer Allen checked the driver and identified the driver as Felicia Flenoy.
Through investigation, officers determined Flenoy was traveling westbound on Buena Vista Street when she lost control of the vehicle and collided with a Chevy suburban parked in front of a residence. Flenoy’s vehicle then struck a wood fence surrounding the yard and came to rest in the front yard of another residence. Both vehicles sustained major damage.
“Upon further investigation, Officer Colleoc determined Flenoy was driving her vehicle under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and placed her under arrest,” officials said.
Flenoy was booked into the High Desert Detention Center and booked for DUI.
Anyone with information regarding the incident may contact Officer Ronan Colleoc at the Barstow Police Department (760)256-2211.
