BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Barstow police officers discovered more than 450 kilograms of suspected cocaine concealed inside a semi-truck trailer during a traffic enforcement stop early Saturday morning.
According to a written statement from the Barstow Police Department, officers stopped a semi-tractor trailer for a vehicle code violation on northbound Interstate 15 near Lenwood Road at about 12:14 a.m. on September 13, 2025.
Officers contacted the driver, identified as 32-year-old Yuvari Singh of Arizona. A Barstow Police K9 was deployed around the tractor-trailer and alerted to the trailer, signaling the potential presence of narcotics, authorities said.
Police advised Singh of the K9 alert, and he consented to a search of the vehicle. During the search, officers located approximately 453 kilograms of suspected cocaine wrapped in packaging and hidden between boxes inside the trailer.
Singh was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on suspicion of possessing illegal narcotics for sale (HS 11351) and transporting illegal narcotics (HS 11352(a)). Officers seized the suspected cocaine and booked it as evidence at the Barstow Police Department.
