Barstow Police searching for hit-and-run driver who killed a 63-year-old woman

BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Barstow Police Department are investigating a deadly hit-and-run accident that happened overnight.
Shortly after 1:00 am on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, police officers responded to the 24000 block of West Main Street reference a deceased person lying in the roadway.
“Upon arrival, Officers located a deceased female lying in the eastbound lanes of West Main Street. It was determined the female had been struck by a vehicle that had fled the scene. An area check was conducted, however, the vehicle could not be located,” stated a news release.
Barstow Police Detectives responded to the location and assumed the investigation.
“It was determined the vehicle that struck the female was black and should reflect significant front end damage,” officials said.
Authorities identified the deceased woman as Juanita McFall, 63, a resident of Barstow.
