Barstow Man Dies After Apartment Fire

BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com)- Authorities are investigating the death of a man who died as a result of an apartment fire Saturday morning.
On January 7, 2017 at 10:05 a.m. 911 dispatch received reports of a structure fire in the 1500 block of west Main Street in Barstow.
“A Hispanic male who resided inside of the apartment was transported to Barstow Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room a short time later,” according to the San Bernardino Coroners.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending a positive identification.
Barstow Police Department, Barstow Fire Department, and Sheriff’s Arson Bomb Division are investigating this fire.
