AVHS Approved as an Official Crossfit Affiliate

APPLE VALLEY-January 4, 2017– The Apple Valley High School Sundevil PRIDE After School Program is pleased to announce that their program has been approved as an official CrossFit affiliate, allowing students the opportunity to train under an official CrossFit trainer and better their health. The new Devils’ CrossFit Gym will celebrate its Grand Opening on Jan. 10 from 2:15 p.m. – 3 p.m. in room F2 at AVHS.
During the Grand Opening celebration, students will have the opportunity to participate in a Zumba demonstration and sample nutritious snacks. The event will also kick off the 2017 Devils’ CrossFit Challenge, in which students may compete for prizes as they work toward overall improvement of their physical abilities.
CrossFit is a nationwide fitness program that merges various workout styles to provide a general fitness workout that is both fun and challenging. The Sundevil PRIDE After School Program is dedicated to providing meaningful programs to students, and offers activities centered around three areas: tutoring and homework help, enrichment activities and physical activities.
