
Friends and family are drawing closer to justice in the murder of 22-year-old Ernie Sanders of Apple Valley. Loved one’s can now begin to feel a little safer knowing the man hunt for Robert Pope, 20, is over.
According to a release, the Sheriff’s Department Specialized Enforcement Division located Pope in the Los Angeles area on February 12, 2014., and he was subsequently arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 187, Murder and PC 664/187, Attempted Murder. Pope is being held on $1,000,000.00 bail.
On Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the 20000 block of Serrano Avenue in Apple Valley.
Upon arrival, deputies located two victims, a male and female, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medical personnel responded to the location, and the male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female who’s identity is being withheld was transported to a local area hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
