DEEP CREEK:(VVNG.com)- At approximately 10:30 P.M., on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 dispatch received the report of two lost campers in the Deep Creek area.
Per scanner traffic, Sheriff’s helicopter 40-king was requested to assist in the search. At 10:43 P.M., the Aviation pilot reported having a sighting of the campers and would help guide them back to safety.
More information will be updated as it becomes available.
UPDATE @ 11:37 P.M. – Hikers were safely escorted back to their vehicles with the assistance of 40-king. No injuries were reported.
