Authorities arrest suspect who killed a woman outside Motel 6 in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Homicide detectives announced they arrested the suspect responsible for the murder of Monica Flores, 35, outside of the Motel 6 in Victorville.
The suspect, 27-year-old Haywood Ramon Foster, a resident of Victorville, was arrested early Friday morning not far from where Monica was murdered.
At about 4:16 am, on September 2, 2019, police were called to the Motel 6 in the 16800 block of Stoddard Wells Road for a female down. Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures on Flores as she was rushed to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Foster is currently being held without bail for PC 187 Murder and is scheduled for arraignment in a Victorville courtroom on September 10th.
Authorities haven’t provided a motive for the murder, commented on whether the victim and suspect knew each other, or information on how Monica was murdered.

A woman sleeping in an adjacent room with her four small children took photos of two bullet holes visible from the inside of her motel room. The woman told VVNG her children were sleeping in the bed and she was thankful they weren’t injured.
Monica was a long-time resident of Oro Grande, a small town with a population of fewer than 1,000 people. Her friends described her as a loving wife and mother to six beautiful children.
