(VVNG.com)- It took 22 years to get a Power Rangers movie that I can be proud of, and it was definitely worth the wait. This flick serves up a healthy dose of nostalgia and adds a fresh and more realistic look at the team of teenage superheroes. When I was (way) younger I would look forward to coming home from school and watching the super cool and super corny Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, every day. I loved that show because of the costumes, the fighting, the Zords and the giant monsters. I didn’t care that my older brothers, Lalo and…

(VVNG.com)- Get ready to grind your teeth, hold your breath and clench your cheeks, as you experience the very aggressive and very graphic action sequences that are showcased in this brutally heart wrenching and glorious send-off to the most beloved X-Man.  Now don’t think that all you’re getting is 2 hrs of hardcore action. There are plenty of times the movie slows down so you can realize that this film is actually very sweet, surprisingly funny and extremely tragic. Everyone (excluding kiddos), that is a graphic novel fan or a Wolverine fan or a fan of great movies in general,…

(VVNG.com)- Regardless of whether you like scary movies or not, you are sure to have some spooky fun during this thrilling gem of a flick. I usually stay away from horror movies but I was curious as heck about this one and I am REALLY glad I put on my big boy pants the day I went to see it. I had so much fun watching the movie go from one freakishly shocking surprise to another. This film is really well written, well directed, well acted and “well’ surely have you guessing, jumping, smiling, screaming, and having a heck of…

VICTOR VALLEY (VVNG.com)- I imagine a room full of hardcore Batman fans spit-balling lots of fantastic ideas for a long time, at the genesis of this project. They were probably told that no idea was too wacky or too far-fetched and that they had to cram as many Batman jokes and references as super-humanly possible. The culmination of that, is 90 minutes of visual glory that is packed with really witty humor, plenty of fast paced action, an original (but not another, unnecessary, origin) story and plenty of heartfelt moments. This flick is a must-see for every Batman and Non-Batman…

(VVNG.com)- I am about 90% sure that Rambo and the Bride from Kill Bill had a child, and I’m just as certain that they named him John Wick. Keanu Reeves does a marvelous job playing such a powerfully intimidating and nearly indestructible assassin that leaves a path of destruction whenever someone is stupid enough to mess with such a deadly and skilled half man-half terminator hybrid of total Badassery. I was blown away by this flick and it’s fast paced, high-impact and magnificent action and choreography…. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Wick is back!… And I am glad to say that…

To say this flick’s action sequences are frantic, is an understatement. They are incredibly energetic and loud, and normally I would be all for that but they do become a bit nauseating and sometimes it’s hard to tell what da heck is going on. Now, I’m not saying that I’m expecting an Oscar…

(VVNG.com)- Let me get this out of the way. I don’t think I can fully review this flick without spoiling a few things so I will, SPLIT (ha!), this review into two parts, a spoiler-free and a spoiler-heavy review. Spoiler-Free Review The film starts right away with Kevin (James McAvoy), who has 23 different personalities, kidnapping Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy) and 2 of her schoolmates. From there it’s a matter of time before the girls either escape or are sacrificed to a potential 24th identity. The premise is what got my butt in the theater and  the movie does an excellent…

(VVNG.com)- The reasonable reaction to a movie that is based on a real life tragedy, is to say that it is completely disrespectful to profit from something that caused so much heartache. While I understand that feeling, I really think that this movie was made with an extreme amount of love and  executed in a very gracious way. I feel that it was important for this story to be told the way it was, in this emotionally powerful flick. It honors the memory of the people who lost their lives and it beautifully portrays how strong and compassionate the city…
